Jack won his 14th major at the PGA in 1975 and his first at the U.S. Open in 1962. During that period, Arnold Palmer won one major, the 1964 Masters. Tom Watson won one major, his 1975 victory in THE OPEN at Carnoustie. Trevino had six majors, so these three totaled EIGHT majors during the period in question - not thirty-five or ninety-eight, whatever YOU wrote. You were correct about the twelve majors by Tiger's contemporaries. Also, in between Jack's 14 majors, only five golfers had two or more majors. Nine current golfers had two or majors since Tiger won the Masters in 1997. I could tell you how many golfers only won one major during both time periods, but I think you get the idea.
