This week's radio segments

Yesterday I joined The Sports Reporters' Steve Czaban and Andy Pollin in the normal timeslot (5:25 ET on Wednesday's). Click the permalink, then the link below, to listen to the segment. With the Tiger Woods announcement of the orchestrated event that is happening Friday morning, that was the topic of the day.

I also made my regular appearance on The Gas Man at 5:25 PT on Wednesday. In this segment, we spent the majority of the time discussing the Tiger event coming up on Friday.

This week on the newest The Tony Kornheiser Show I was on during the ten o'clock hour, and as expected we spent the majority of the time discussing our opinions on the upcoming televised Tiger press statement.  This week, we had differing opinions on much of the matter.

John:

GREAT JOB ,as always.

Any"reporter" that shows up tomorrow at the "Eldrick love in" is a gutless clown. Clearly those who do will be embraced by team Tiger and considered "with us". Those who do not will be considered "against us" and will rarely be granted access outside the PGA tours required pressers.

There are two reasons for tomorrows..... what ever you want to call it. One thing you CAN NOT call it is a press conference! The First is to stick it to a sponsor who Tiger feels betrayed him. Actually isn't it the other way around? And the second is to draw the "battle lines" among the media.

Even Tiger and IMG can not believe that this is going to be the end and now it's back to golf. Or can they? At some point team Tiger has to know that he has to answer some questions even if said questions are prescreened from "approved" writers. (sorry John but you are not on that list... although you should be for the sake of journalistic integrity) Tiger/IMG is not that stupid.... are they? andThe question is are that arrogent? My guess is they aren't. This is a test to see from whom he will accept questions. But with Tiger one never knows.

In spite of the IMG connection at Bay Hill I still contend that the Arnold Palmer factor will move Tigers "coming out party" to Doral. Eldrick isn't man enough to face Arnie. And the PGA tour and it's puppet comish. will do everything possible to protect Tiger whenever where ever! Tim Finchem knows full well who really pays his salary!

And don't expect any tour player other then Jesper to utter any discouraging words either. Every player knows that Tiger is in essence an annuity for their financial futures. I fully expect Phil Michelson to come to the defense of his new best friend. WHO KNEW!

It's to bad Saturday Night Live isn't funny anymore. Back in the old days they could have had fun with this. Imagine Garrett Morris or Eddie Murphy as Tiger And Bill Murray as Tim Finchem and John Belushi as Mark Steinberg.

At 11:00AM EST tomorrow let the sham begin. You can bet the that The Golf Channel will be front and center and hanging on every word Eldrick utters.

149 excempt players are better than one Tiger!

What question exactly does Tiger need to answer?? He cheated on his wife (not our business). A bunch of whores received 15 minutes or more of fame (who cares). He has lost a lot of respect, money, and goodwill (consequences for his actions). Agian, what else does he need to say? Only anonymous cause I don't feel like registering.

To anonymous:

If all that you say is true then why is he doing anything at all in public? If he has nothing more to say then why is he saying anything? If this is a private matter, and i realize you didn't say that, then why is he going into a public forum that he is controlling?

As for for so called "whores", Tiger is a whore as well.
